Here’s one of the stupidest plays in football you’re ever likely to see

It’s only just opening day for college football and yet we still already have a candidate for “Dumbest Play of the Year.”

That’s Kent State’s Andre Parker recovering a blown punt return after the ball grazed off a Towson returner, only to return the recovered fumble toward his own endzone. The only thing that stopped him from scoring a safety for the other team was…the other team themselves. Towson’s punt return team idiotically tackled him before he could score them two points.

Not the greatest display of football awareness or IQ. Luckily, they’ve still got a lot of time to turn that around.
