Patriots Fans Pay $36,000 To Play Video Games With Gronk

At Monday’s Joe Andruzzi Foundation’s New England Celebrities Tackles Cancer Gala, three deep-pocketed Patriots fans paid a total of $36,000 to win the opportunity to play Xbox with Pats tight end Rob Gronkowski.

According to the Globe, the prize was orginally supposed to be for one winner to have a four-hour session of gaming with Gronk, but the bidding (egged on by hosts Scott Zolak and Billy Costas) escalated so quickly that they decided to split the prize between three generous winners, who bid $12K each.

In all, the Gala raised $500,000 to help families cover household expenses during cancer treatments and aid funding for pediatric brain cancer research at Boston Children’s Hospital.

I would certainly love to play an intense Zombies sesh with Gronk, but unfortunately my pockets are a little shorter than the required pricetag.
