Ugueth Urbina Released From Venezuelan Prison After Five Years

t_35180Former Red Sox reliever Ugueth Urbina was released from a Venezuelan prison on Wednesday after serving five years for attempted murder.

Urbina was sentenced to 14 years in 2007 after attacking five workers on his farm who he suspected stole a gun from him. Urbina attacked the men with a machete and attempted to pour gasoline on them. A MACHETE PEOPLE, A MACHETE.

According to Deadspin, the 38-year old Urbina has been playing prison baseball, can still throw upwards of 90 mph and is still interested in playing baseball. Only time will tell if any MLB teams are in the market psychopathic machete wielder, but Urbina’s old Venezuelan team, the Caracas Lions, said they would love to have him back.

If Ugey can’t find a baseball gig, maybe Hollywood is ready for him.
