Premiering on History Channel on March 3rd is the new 9 part series ‘Vikings’. This new series will depict these savage explorers during their raping and pillaging of Europe and North America from 800 to 1100 A.D.

In good old History Channel fashion we are going to get amazing reenactments of battle scenes from some of the fiercest warriors this world has ever seen. In a Hollywood production style this series looks like it will be a realistic bloodbath. And from the trailer it looks like it will be a bunch of Thors slinging battle axes, with one apparent supermodel who also indulges in Viking pillaging. Could there be a better theme for a man who loves fantasizing about medieval warfare from the comfort of his own couch?

Not only is this new series going to include the terror that struck Europe in the Dark Ages, but also the clan wars that took place in modern day Scandinavia. Each Viking village was independent and followed their appointed king. That’s right, there is going to be turf wars, but these confrontations are going to involve men that would rip bloods and crips to pieces.

Tune in to the History Channel on March 3rd  to see these warriors duke it out, and maybe you will learn a thing or two about the most frightening people who have ever roamed this Earth.
