Tom Brady Agrees To Three-Year Contract Extension

Tom Brady

According to Jeff Howe, Tom Brady and the Patriots have agreed to a three-year, $27 million extension.  This is a great deal for the Pats when you consider what Brady could have been asking for. The deal contractually binds Brady to the Pats through the 2017 season.

To put it in perspective, if the Ravens choose to franchise tag QB Joe Flacco, he will be making upwards of $20 million a year. Also, Brady will make $13 million in 2015…Mark Sanchez will make $12.5.

Even the guys over at Pawn Stars would think that the Patriots came away with a steal on this one.

The extension gives the Pats additional cap flexibility to sign key free agents in their quest to take home another Lombardi Trophy.
