After three months in Taiwan playing for the EDA Rhinos, Manny Ramirez is taking his talents elsewhere. ManRam is reportedly heading to Japan to play for the Chiba Lotte Marines of Japan’s NBP, who can pay him more than the $25,000 a month he was earning with the Rhinos.

He wasn’t there very long, but Manny quickly became very popular in Taiwan thanks to his success in the batter’s box. In 49 games, Ramirez hit .352 with 8 HR and 43 RBI for the Rhinos.

This is just another chapter in the strange but always entertaining book of Ramirez’s post-MLB career. Manny may be leaving Taiwan, but this home run call will live forever:
