It didn’t take very long following Lance Armstrong’s doping confessions for plans of a biopic to get set in motion, and now know who is likely to play Armstrong on the big screen.
According to a report from Deadline, Ben Foster is set to land the role of the cancer survivor turned shamed cyclist in an upcoming biopic directed by Stephen Frears.
Foster has a solid resume that includes films like Alpha Dog, Contraband and X-Men: The Last Stand, as well as several films slated for future release. Based on his appearance alone, he seems like he could be a good fit for the role.
Armstrong, who won seven consecutive Tour de France competitions from 1999 to 2005 after overcoming testicular, brain and lung cancer, admitted to using performance enhancing drugs earlier this year and was stripped of all his accomplishments and banned from the sport for life.
