Jaromir Jagr is gone, but at least we’ll always have this commercial featuring him as a firefighter

This is already shaping up to be an interesting offseason for the Bruins, who have a lot of big decisions to make regarding the future of the franchise. Several key players, including Andrew Ference and Nathan Horton, have already informed the team that they don’t plan on returning to Boston next season.

Also not returning will be 41-year old Jaromir Jagr, who the B’s acquired near the trade deadline this past season. Though his time in Boston was short, Jagr quickly became a fan favorite amongst the Bruins faithful (mostly because of stuff like this) and many, including I, will be sad to see him go without raising a big, shiny Cup first.

If the commercial below is any indication, Jagr may be trading in his Bruins jersey for a black and gold uniform of another kind – a firefighter’s. The ad is for the Czech lottery, and how that has anything to do with Jagr saving pretty ladies at a birthday party beats me…but it’s The Jagr, and The Jagr is awesome.

I might have to start lighting stuff on fire in hopes that Jagr and his infectious smile will come to my rescue, too.
