Rob Gronkowski nearly walks out of interview after Hernandez questions

Rob Gronkowksi is notorious for his fun and carefree attitude, but we got to see a very agitated side of Gronk during a recent interview with CBS’s “This Morning.”

CBS reporter Don Dahler asked the Patriots tight end about his former teammate, Aaron Hernandez, who is currently facing first-degree murder charges. Gronk responded with a couple “next questions” before Dahler shifted his attention to Gronk’s father and asked for his reaction.

That’s when Gronk stood up and threatened to walk away from the interview, insisting on a change of subject. Rob’s brothers found the whole sequence pretty amusing, but Gronk apparently didn’t whatsoever.

I don’t blame Gronkowski. What does Hernandez’ legal woes have to do with him, at least in the manner that the reporter was asking them? If he had asked how it might impact the Patriots’ offense, that’s one thing. But to ask him questions seeking a personal insight was out of bounds, especially when Gronkowski made it clear he didn’t want to talk about it.
