Introducing Nike’s awful new monochrome NFL jerseys

Nike announced these special edition “Get Drenched” monochrome NFL team jerseys via their blog on Thursday. It seems like monochrome jerseys are becoming a trend (the NBA’s Christmas Day uniforms last season were monochrome as well), one that I really don’t understand.

I’m all about repping your favorite team, but why not rep ALL of their colors instead of just saturating yourself in one? Plus, I’m a pretty big fan of being able to see/read names and numbers on jerseys from more than five feet away. But, hey, that’s just me.

Check out some more pics of Nike’s new jerseys below.
