The San Jose Sharks unveiled some “new” uniforms for the 2013-2014 season on Tuesday and, as you can see in the picture above, they’re pretty much exactly the same as the ones they’ve been donning for the past handful of years.
The only really noticeable difference with these new uniforms is the absence of the stripes that were featured on the shoulders and at the bottom of the previous uniforms. You can check out the difference between the two jerseys below; the newer version is shown at the top, older on bottom.
It seems like a lot of NHL teams are trying to go with a more simplistic look with their jerseys these days but I actually liked the shoulder stripes a lot on the Sharks’ old sweaters. They really tied the whole uniform together. Now I just feel like the new ones are too generic.
