Actor Tom Guiry, best known for his childhood role as Scott Smalls in The Sandlot, was arrested at a Houston airport over the weekend after he was deemed “too drunk to fly” by a United Airlines employee.
The employee then contacted an airport cop, who approached Guiry and reportedly gave him two options: a public intoxication arrest, or the drunk tank. That’s when Guiry became aggressive and attempted to kick the officer in the face before headbutting him.
Guiry was booked for felony assault on a police officer and released on $5,000 bail.
(Insert obligatory “You’re killing me, Smalls!” joke here.)
