Chase Budinger’s knee can’t catch a break

NBA: Detroit Pistons at Minnesota Timberwolves

Anytime that Dr. James Andrews’ name is in the news you know that someone in the world has suffered a serious injury of some sort. The man is basically the grim reaper of tendons and ligaments.  That’s why when I say that Chase Budinger is planning to see Dr. Andrews next week you know what is coming next.

The Minnesota Timberwolves forward has reportedly had a considerable amount of swelling in his knee and the belief is that he has experienced some sort of cartilage damage.

This isn’t the first time that he has suffered through an injury of the knee variety. He was limited to just 26 games in 2012-2013 after having surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus.

This is a shocking turn of events for the Timberwolves whose decimating injuries usually occur a little closer to the beginning of the season and involve random acts of chance. Although this does follow the pattern of their players going down after receiving a solid chunk of change from the franchise. So at least there is a little consistency.
