I’m going to double down on the Detroit Lions players this weekend. They travel to Washington to take on the Redskins who gave up over 600 yards of offense last week against the Green Bay Packers. In week one, they allowed a massive 263 yards on the ground against the Eagles. This tells me that Matthew Stafford and Joique Bell will both have monster days against this mediocre Skins D. Reggie Bush still isn’t a 100%, so start Bell today on your fantasy team.
The Chicago Bears Defense
Tonight’s game will look more like the Monsters of the Midway when the Bears take on a putrid Steelers offensive line. Pittsburgh has a total of 75 yards rushing through the first two games and they have no receiver that can stretch the field to keep the safeties from creeping up into the box. Roethlisberger has been mediocre this year, partly because of his lack of protection and rushing attack. The Bears have a good enough defense where Peanut Tillman and company should post double digit fantasy points tonight.
The Falcons are minus Steven Jackson today and Roddy White still doesn’t appear to be 100%, so look for Julio Jones to get 12-14 targets today. The concern will be keeping Cameron Wake off of Matty Ice, so they will run a lot of quick slants to Julio and let him run after the catch. I’m projecting 9 catches for 136 yards and a touchdown for the speedy wideout in Atlanta!
