Watch an NHL player score his first career goal, bring both his parents to tears

This is a really awesome goal that comes from a recent Vancouver Canucks-San Jose Sharks preseason game that shows Canucks rookie Hunter Shinkaruk scoring his first career goal in front of a huge home crowd that includes both his parents in attendance.

The 18-year old Canadian forward was the Canucks’ first round pick (24th overall) this past year and, judging from that shooting ability showcased in the video above, he’s got some serious promise. He parents are clearly very proud, as they should be.
