Adam Wainwright did not have the best Game 1

The World Series got off to rough start for Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright. Before Game 1 even started, the 6’7 Wainwright learned the hard way that Fenway Park’s dugouts are not cater to tall pitchers.

Then, his defense blew an opportunity to turn an inning-ending double play in the first inning. The next batter cleared the bases with a 3 RBI double.

The next inning, Wainwright fell victim to some more bad defense…this time, however, he only had himself to blame.

It appears that Wainwright momentarily forgot how to baseball.
