Kanye’s ‘Yeezus’ tour starts off in Seattle and it’s as epic as you’d imagine

In the past few months, Kanye West has solidified his claim that he is the “number one rock star on the planet.”  With Yeezus being his sixth straight number one album, Kanye decided to bless the musical world with his first solo tour since 2008s, Glow in the Dark tour.  Kanye opened the tour Saturday night in Seattle, with a 27-song setlist, that featured almost every song on Yeezus, along with some old stuff scattered throughout.  The stage had a huge mountain, that Kanye rapped on top of for much of the show, and he was joined by Jesus himself, for his song “Jesus Walks.”  The show’s encore looked incredible, playing six throwbacks and then finishing it off with “Bound 2.”  While I can’t justify paying $160 to see him when he comes through Boston, it does looks like a once in a lifetime show.  Check out some videos above, along with the setlist and pictures of his controversial merchandise below.
