Fans quickly coined a nickname for the 19-year old Sharks rookie, dubbing him “Teenage Mutant Ninja Hertl.” NHL.com, clearly a fan, embraced that moniker on their front page slider by attributing one word per goal highlight. Well played.

In case you’re interested, you can also buy a “Teenage Mutant Ninja Hertl” shirt already. It’s called seizing the moment, guys.
