Phoenix goalie Mike Smith scores with .01 seconds left in the game

We’ve already pointed out how rough of a week NHL netminders have had, so today we’ve decided to focus on the good rather than the bad.

With the Coyotes up 4-2 and time winding down, Mike Smith saved a Red Wings shot which should have ended the game. Instead of letting time run out Smith decided he might as well just fire the puck at the empty Detroit net and see if he could get the honor of scoring the first goalie goal of the year.
