To say that the St. Louis Rams are getting desperate for a quarterback is an understatement. After speculation that they might give Tebow a call, the Rams decided to go in a completely different directions, and call up Brett Favre to come out of retirement for his 2nd… no wait, 3rd time.
Adam Schefter, from ESPN, reported that the Rams called Favre, but Favre was too “stiff” and enjoyed spending time with his family. Things must be getting pretty dire up in Mound City, if the Rams are looking to a 44 year-old to take the reins. But honestly, I’d take a 65 year-old Brett Favre over the Rams’ current option. Kellen Clemens, is going to start for the Rams Sunday, if they don’t find anything better, which isn’t too hard to find. Clemens has the worst total QBR in the league since 2006, and has seven pass attempts in the last two years. Yup, things are looking about as shitty as they can get for the St. Louis Rams. Maybe they’ll try out their punter, Johnny Hekker… that worked out pretty well for them last time.
