The best glove save in hockey this weekend didn’t come from a goalie

Taylor Cammarata’s potential game winning goal was thwarted by every forwards nightmare; the glove side robbery. But Cammarata’s version had a little twist to it.

With two minutes left in OT the Minnesota freshman was sprung for a glorious breakaway. Boston College netminder Thatcher Demko made the initial save but the puck kicked into the air and started to sail towards the back of the net for the game winner. That’s when defenseman Ian McCoshen decided to embrace his inner goalie and snag the puck out of midair and chuck it down ice for an incredibly glove save.
