The Florida Panthers are trying to convince Bruins fans to fill their arena

It’s common knowledge at this point that the Florida Panthers don’t exactly have the greatest fanbase in the NHL. It’s also safe to assume that tonight’s Panthers-Bruins game in Sunrise, Florida will be a little more exciting than usual considering Tim Thomas, former Vezina and Conn Smythe winner for the Bruins, will be in net for the Panthers and facing his former team for the first time.

With that being said, it’s not a huge surprise that the Panthers website is using the Thomas storyline to sell tickets. What is somewhat surprising, however, is that the Panthers are blatantly trying to appeal to Boston fans with a sales pitch that includes letting them know that the Red Sox-Tigers game will broadcast on TVs throughout BB&T Center.

ALCS Game 5 is set to get underway just 30 minutes after opening puck drop in Florida, so just in case any of you southern Bruins fans were hesitant about heading to Sunrise for Timmy’s comeback tour…the Panthers have you covered.
