AHL player gets absolutely steamrolled, does full body flip as result

This massive hit comes from an AHL game this week between the Utica Comets and the Lake Erie Monsters, the minor league affiliates of the Vancouver Canucks and Colorado Avalanche, respectively.

That’s Darren Archibald of the Comets delivering the bone-crushing (but legal) hit to Lake Erie’s Karl Stollery, who does a full body flip as a result of the check.

It’s actually pretty refreshing to see that the Monsters didn’t jump Archibald after the devastating clean hit, as that’s becoming far too popular of a trend in the NHL these days.
