Meet the prep school football coach who doesn’t believe in punting or kicking off

This is a pretty interesting feature piece on Coach Kevin Kelly of Pulaski Academy in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Coach Kelly has one of the more unique coaching philosophies you’ll ever see from a football coach – he instructs his players to never punt, never field punts, and only do onside kickoffs.

Kelly believes that the numbers and statistics back up his philosophy and, ultimately, helps give his team a better chance to win games. The success he has seen as head coach of Pulaski seems to indicate that he may just be right.

His philosophy only works because his team it better then the teams there playing.

His philosophy only works because his team IS better THAN the teams THEY’RE playing.

If correcting my grammar makes you feel better about yourself, i can live with that.

If his team is up by 2, with 2 minutes left in the game, on his own 20, 4th and 8, if he doesn’t punt he should be fired.
