Antoine Roussel beats Corey Crawford on penalty shot, taunts Chicago crowd

Antoine Roussel made his presence felt during the Stars’ trip to Chicago on Tuesday night. Not only did Roussel get in a spirited bout with the Blackhawks’ Andrew Shaw but he also scored the game’s winning goal on a penalty shot in the third period.

About three minutes into the final period, Roussel got hooked by Niklas Hjalmarsson on a breakaway attempt and was sent to the center dot for a one-on-one chance against Corey Crawford. Not only did Roussel convert with some nifty stickhandling and a backhanded shelfer, he also added an exclamation point by taunting the United Center’s crowd immediately after.

As you can imagine, they did not appreciate that and Roussel was received with thunderous boos.
