Brayden Schenn injured after devastating hit from Tom Wilson

Philadelphia Flyers forward Brayden Schenn was the recipient of this extremely brutal and dangerous hit from the Capitals’ Tom Wilson on Tuesday night, sending Schenn facefirst into the boards at an awkward angle.

Schenn appeared to be seriously injured as a result of the hit and struggled to stay on his feet as he attempted to leave the ice.

Wilson, who was served a five-minute major for charging and a game misconduct, will likely get a pretty lengthy suspension from the NHL. Not only is this the exact type of hit the league is trying to eliminate from the game, it was also an atrocious charge on the part of Wilson.

Schenn did not return to the game. Hope he’s alright.
