Brooks Orpik destroys Loui Eriksson with open ice hit

Brooks Orpik laid this devastating hit on Bruins forward Loui Eriksson early during the first period of Saturday’s Penguins-Bruins game in Boston. The hit looked to catch Eriksson a bit high and was enough to keep him out for the rest of the game, but the play was not called for a penalty. That would be a huge reason behind why Orpik was attacked and stretchered off the ice just a few minutes later.
