The Boston Bruins have found themselves in the middle of some ugly hits and incidents on the ice over the past few days, and the latest ones comes via Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf.
The Leafs defenseman laid this ugly hit on Bruins d-man Kevan Miller later in the third period and, somehow, wasn’t called for a penalty. It was an obvious boarding infraction and Phaneuf may still get a call from the NHL Department of Player Safety this week as a result.
As for Miller, he scored his first career goal earlier in the game but looked quite shaken up and went to the locker room after this hit from behind.
