Jacoby Ellsbury signs megadeal with Yankees, becomes latest “trader” in Red Sox Nation

Jacoby Ellsbury, former Red Sox center fielder and one of the coveted hitters of this year’s free agent class, signed a seven-year, $153 million deal with the Yankees on Tuesday. Despite the fact that the Yankees probably overpaid for the guy, it was mostly known that Ellsbury wouldn’t be returning to Boston and would likely flock to the highest bidder.

And, as we all have come to know, when the term “highest bidder” is involved, it usually ends in pinstripes.

However, that didn’t stop heartbroken Red Sox fans from denouncing Ellsbury on Twitter while simultaneously showcasing their lack of simple grammar.
