NHL players are pranking teammates by interviewing them with things that are not microphones

There’s a strange (yet hilarious) prank trend starting in the NHL this season, and it has players around the league joining a mob of reporters and interviewing teammates with things other than a microphones.

For example, pictured above is Evander Kane of the Winnipeg Jets interviewing his teammate Chris Thorburn with a Gatorade bottle last night.

Just a few days before that, notorious jokester P.K. Subban got Canadiens teammates Max Pacioretty with a bottle of pills.

And before Kaner and P.K., an unknown Minnesota Wild prankster interviewed Charlie Coyle with a remote control.

I’m not sure how or why this originated but I certainly hope it continues to sweep the league because the pictures are absolutely hilarious. Just another example of hockey players being the greatest.
