Jack Edwards isn’t exactly one of those broadcasters known for masking his passion for the hometown team. In fact, Jack’s often been (correctly) called a Bruins “homer,” but the simple fact is that most B’s fans don’t really care…and it appears that, frankly, neither does Jack.
Bruins fans have grown to love Jack for his strange attempts at humor and wild antics in the booth, and those fans were blessed with another “Jack being Jack” moment during Tuesday’s Bruins-Rangers game.
After Brad Marchand netted a game-tying goal to cap off a three-goal deficit comeback in the third period, Jack Edwards turned into Jumpin’ Jack Edwards in the NESN broadcast booth. Cameras caught Jack hopping up and down like a giddy schoolgirl following Marchand’s goal late in the third period and, boom, just like that we have another Jack Edwards moment that will forever live in infamy.
PS – Arguably the best part of the video is watching Andy Brickley slowly turn and look at Jack as if to say “what in the hell…?”
