So, um, can we get some real refs up in here?

You’ve probably heard that the NFL’s current union of referees are holding out for a better labor deal, which means that we have to deal with replacement refs in the meantime until a new agreement is reached.

Well, one of these replacements had a, shall we say, “difficult” time in assessing penalties during on sequence in the second quarter of Wednesday night’s Patriots-Giants preseason game. The ref, whose name is Don King (yup, seriously), had some trouble making any sense at all and couldn’t find a way to stop talking (much like boxing’s Don King) and was met with a stadium full of boos and one pissed off Tom Coughlin.

Can we all just pray that we get regular refs back before next Wednesday’s season opener?
