ESPN’s Stuart Scott took to Twitter with some heartbreaking news on Monday night, informing his followers that his cancer has returned:
Blessed by prayers..I’m back in the Fight. C reared its head again. Chemo evry 2 wks but I’ll still work, still work out..still #LIVESTRONG

Scott was first diagnosed with cancer back in 2007 after an emergency appendectomy revealed a malignancy that was treated with chemotherapy, then received chemotherapy again in 2011 after more cancerous tissue was found.
As indicated in his revealing tweet, Scott still plans to work for ESPN while receiving chemo and the network says they plan on working around his treatments. After tweeting out the news, Scott went on to co-anchor the 11:00 P.M. SportsCenter show.
Very sad news for one of our favorite SportsCenter anchors but, just like he has in the past, he seems to be holding strong in his fight. Thoughts and prayers to you, Stu.
Thanks for prayers..ill fight w ALL C survivors & loved ones. Cancer wants to re-appear..picked the right guy cuz I HIT HARD all day long!!
